Employment

Our ideal staff consists of bright, motivated, hardworking individuals. Prior experience with horses and/or farm operations is required, as well as a strong work ethic and an open mind. Successful applicants are independent self-starters who play well with others, use their words, and take pride in their work no matter how small the task.

Duties of our Barn Staff:

  • Handling horses (haltering, walking in/out to pastures, blanketing, etc.)

  • Feeding, watering, medicating, and providing first aid to the horses

  • Identifying issues related to the horses or property and notifying the owner

  • Routine maintenance tasks such as cleaning stalls, scrubbing water tanks, etc., and general upkeep of the barn

  • Unloading supplies (hay bales, feed bags, bedding, etc.)

  • Operating farm machinery and equipment (Mules, tractors, mowers, etc.)

  • General maintenance of the property (mowing, weed-whacking, dragging arena, repairing fence, etc.)

  • Assisting with barn improvement projects (carpentry, plumbing, painting, fencing, etc.)

We operate 7 days a week, 365 days per year, rain or shine, heat or cold. Positions are generally part-time, with exact hours depending on current staffing needs and applicant availability. Wages vary based on the applicant's experience, availability, and skillset.

Please note that this position does NOT include riding. We do not offer any volunteer, "work to ride", or internship opportunities at this time.
